Top secret base somewhere in New Jersey
[the universe was ending]
Like a true swordscat, Puss fought bravely until the finish; doing all he could to protect his charges.
He doesn't know when the end actually came; knocked out of the fight from a blow by debris or a foe while the bar broke apart around him.
There was only darkness.
And now... light.
And a sea of beautiful faces.
Cracking his eyes, Puss lifts his chin from the pillow he's resting on, and casts a bleary gaze at the golden eyes and sleek furred faces surrounding him.
"Señoritas, hello."
His voice is a dry croak, but enough to gather the attention of those around him, and pull them in closer.
The cats sniff and purr, and brush up against him and all Puss can think is, "Is this heaven?"
